Paid Time Off
USMD offers a very generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holiday Schedule for full time employees. Paid Time Off covers vacation and sick leave. PTO benefits begin at 14 days for employees with less than one year’s tenure, and increase to 31 days for those with twenty years or more.
Retirement Savings Plan
USMD Health System offers a 401(k) plan which includes a company safe harbor contribution.
Insurance plans begin on the first day of the month following the start of full-time employment. We offer an HDHP with an HSA, administered by CIGNA.
USMD Health System offers your choice of a Dental PPO or DHMO, both administered by Guardian.
Voluntary coverage is offered through VSP. You may use in or out-of-network vision care providers.
USMD Health System provides 100% employer-paid benefits for:
- Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance of 1x your annual salary
Additional Voluntary Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability and Life Insurance benefits are available for employee purchase.
Other Benefits include:
- Bereavement Leave – First three days of absence paid for a death in the employee/spouse’s immediate family
- Jury Duty – USMD Health System pays the difference between regular pay and juror’s stipend for up to one week
