Peter LaNasa, M.D.

Peter LaNasa, M.D., is a board certified radiation oncologist and also serves as the Director of Radiation Oncology for USMD Cancer Center. Since arriving at USMD Cancer Center in 2009, he has collaborated with his fellow physicians to create the most complete prostate cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up program in the region.

Dr. LaNasa joined USMD Cancer Center after developing the Fort Worth CyberKnife Center into one of the most active programs internationally. His areas of sub-specialization include prostate cancer, breast cancer and radiosurgery. A native of Buffalo, New York, Dr. LaNasa received his medical degree from the University of Virginia and completed his residency in radiation oncology in New Jersey at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. For more than a decade, he directed radiation oncology programs in New York before relocating to Texas with his family. He was the Director of Radiation Oncology for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in Fort Worth starting in 2004, and he has been the Medical Director for the Fort Worth CyberKnife Center since 2006.
