Kathy Early, MSN, RN

Kathy Early, MSN, RN, serves as chief executive officer and chief nursing officer at USMD Hospital at Fort Worth. In this position, Kathy has operational, strategic and business oversight of the hospital and its departments, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of quality medical care. She provides leadership in the implementation of care management programs and serves as the primary liaison between administration and medical staff. She also oversees all regulatory licensure requirements for the hospital.

Prior to being appointed CEO and CNO at USMD Hospital at Fort Worth, Kathy served as the hospital’s interim CEO and CNO. Kathy is a highly seasoned health care executive who has a wealth of knowledge and nearly 30 years of health care experience, including extensive senior leadership experience in perioperative and nursing roles.

Kathy has been with USMD Hospital at Arlington since 2003, having served – most recently – as vice president of patient services. Prior to joining USMD, Kathy worked as nurse manager of surgical services at Arlington Memorial South Medical Center, which is now USMD Hospital at Arlington. She also has experience as a head nurse, staff RN and clinical coordinator. She holds a master’s degree in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Science Center, where she graduated top in her class.
